As Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with much fervour today, the artists in the city made good business by selling their creations in the market. Various chowks in the city were found crowded today as people in large numbers had reached there to buy sculptures of Lord Ganesha.
One of the artists who have mastered the skill of carving out these sculptures is Khetaram. He has been residing in a small hut made up of black tarpaulin near Maqsuda sabji mandi, Khetaram, with his family comprising his parents and one younger brother has spent 22 years mastering the art of making these fineries. Basically hailing from Rajasthan, the whole generation of Khetaram’s family is involved in learning the art.
