The third International Conference on Sleep Disorders —ICSD-2017 — will be held from October 27 to 29 in the city.
Punjab Governor VP Badnore will inaugurate the conference while Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to be the chief guest during the felicitation ceremony.
Dr HJ Singh, organising chairman of the conference, said the sleep medicine in South East Asia was rapidly changing its trend from being hardly known and unrecognised to a multidisciplinary evidence-based medicine.
He said the conference would provide a bewitching intellectual feast to the taste of every participant.
Widely renowned experts and accepted authorities from the national as well as international field of respiratory diseases, medicine, neurologist, psychiatrist, paediatrics and ENT were participating in the event, he added
Dr Mark Murphy, Dr David Kuhuns and Dr Anmol Kalha from the USA and Dr David Cunnington and Dr Milind Somani are also associated as faculty members. Moreover, medical practitioners from all over the country are conversing to avail the chance of getting benefit of such advanced level proceeding and getting acquainted with the latest techniques being practised in the world.
Various workshops on allergy, sleep apnea, medicine and dental sleep, symposia, and wide ranging panel discussions will be held during the conference.
Plenary lectures and research papers focusing on lately emerging trends, techniques and advancement on the diagnostic and therapeutic fronts will also be presented. The Punjab Medical Council has very much agreed to give 12 credit hours to all members participating in the convention.
Among other significant programs, there will be live demonstrations by the renowned experts and faculty members through their expertise and ingeniousness of the field.
