Haveli owner’s brother gets interim relief
Jalandhar, May 31
Harish Jain, brother of Haveli restaurant owner Satish Jain, and Andeep Singh was today granted interim relief by a local court. They were booked by the city police for filing a fake complaint against three restaurant employees. Mukhtyar Mohammad, counsel of Harish, said he contended in the court that his client was booked in a false case which was registered by the city police without having any evidence. He further said if the complaint was found false, apart from initiating the proceeding under Section 182 of the IPC, why proceedings under Section 384 of the IPC was initiated. Notably, the police had booked owner’s brother Harish Jain, Sohan Singh and Andeep Singh under Sections 384, 506, 182, 120B of the IPC. One of the accused in the case, Sohan is yet to apply for a bail in the case. The police had registered a case after conducting its inquiry, the complaint was found false. After taking legal opinion of the DA, the case was registered.—TNS
