Returning to the city this evening with her mother and aunt after having watched the premiere of Bollywood movie on her father 'Sarbjit' in Mumbai, Swapandeep Kaur said that she could see her father come alive again through the very natural acting of Randeep Hooda.

Swapandeep of Bhikhiwind got married in Jalandhar and is posted as Naib Tehsildar here on compassionate grounds after the killing of his father in Pakistan jail. She shared, "I wept so many times watching the premier and could recall those dark days when I and my aunt Dalbir Kaur made endless efforts to get him freed. The emotive bonding between me and dad has been nicely portrayed by Shivani Saini, the actress from Chandigarh, who plays my role."

Touched by the portrayal of her real life scenes on the big screen, she was all gaga for the film crew, "Hooda has shown the sufferings and mental trauma that my dad faced with his stunning acting. The film summed up our emotions, ups and downs of our long struggle to get my dad back in just 2.5 hours in the most apt manner. The production team has made the film exactly the way we gave them the narratives. If at all there will be any deviation from our real life in the film, it won't be of more than 0.1 per cent." Swapandeep said, "Since morning, I have been getting calls that most theatres in Mumbai and even in Punjab have got three-day advance booking for the film. My acquaintances have been calling me asking them to arrange tickets for them and even asking me to accompany them for the movie again. My sister Poonam could not accompany us to Mumbai. Even her role has been I will definitely watch it in the theatre with her again."

On the protests from within the family and some political activists against the screening of the film, she responded, "I do not want to react to any such opposition against us. We know what kind of ordeal we faced and I am satisfied that such a top class of actors and directors puts it all in the right perspective for the world to know."
