The matter of appointment of best faculty was discussed seriously. The board held detailed deliberations to chalk out the future roadmap for the university academia to establish it as an academic campus.

Stress was laid upon appointments of the best faculty based on PhD as essential qualification.

Raising concern, Chairman Sarvesh Kaushal said, “From now on, priority will be given to PhD-qualified candidates for faculty recruitment. If the university fails to fill the vacant posts then those may be re-advertised. The university board is all geared up to put a full stop on all malpractices done by private colleges regarding faculty recruitment. The university is also keen to conduct more Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) through NITTTR Chandigarh and CCI Punjab chapter. Responsibility of various board members has been fixed to explore best options to improve the faculty development practices.”

Not only this, the board also discussed about more involvement of students in social activities and for this, the university will begin meetings with various NGOs to find out the actual required area where students could work on ground.

As far as the HR audit reports are concerned, Rakesh Verma, Secretary, Technical Education and Vice-Chancellor of IKG-PTU said, “HR audit report means responsibilities to be measured according to the capabilities of the staff. It is for the development of the staff and employees so that they can enjoy their jobs as per their taste.”
