On the occasion of 14th annual day of science city, a two-day, Inno-tech exhibition beings today, in order to showcase innovative projects and working models presented by students. Dr Rajesh Grover, director, Science City said: “The purpose behind oganising the programme is to encourage innovation and creativity among students of colleges. In the two-day programme, various categories of models, including automobiles, software (mechatronics) and miscellaneous related working models were displayed”
He said as many as 800 students from different engineering, polytechnics and ITI colleges were participation in the event. Students from different institutions, Including Lovely Professional University (LPU), DAV University PTU, DAVIET, Chandigarh University, Mehar Chand Polytechnic, Rayat Bahara College and Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Thapar Polytechnic Colleges, Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology displayed 165 models on the occasion.
“The shortlisted models will be displayed separately tomorrow. The prize distribution ceremony will be held. The winners will be awarded by Mohan Pal Singh Ishar, Vice- Chancellor, MRSSTU, Bathinda,” said Dr Grover. — OC
