INTUC slams govt for taking ‘anti-labour’ stance

Jalandhar, June 29

The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) today said the Punjab Government had adopted a reluctant attitude towards the problems of labourers and unemployed, which had created an atmosphere of distrust among the youth.

Addressing media persons here today, Ashwani Sharma, state president, Indian National Trade Union Congress, said the government had been trying to suppress the voice of labourers with police actions, which was an unlawful act.

He said the government was promising to provide 1.25 lakh jobs but on the other hand, the government had been expelling the employees and when youngsters asked for jobs, they were provided with police action.
