JIT chief meets PNB officials over pledged properties

JALANDHAR: The newly appointed Jalandhar Improvement Trust Chairman Daljit Singh Ahluwalia today held a meeting with senior officials of Punjab National Bank (PNB) regarding its pledged properties worth Rs 500 crore.

The newly appointed Jalandhar Improvement Trust Chairman Daljit Singh Ahluwalia today held a meeting with senior officials of Punjab National Bank (PNB) regarding its pledged properties worth Rs 500 crore.

Ahluwalia met PNB circle head Ajay Vermani, AGM KC Gagrani, chief manager Vijay Kumar and manager Rakesh Malhan.

The JIT Chairman said the bank officials assured him that they would allow the JIT to sell some good pledged properties with an assurance that the sale money would be immediately released to the bank for repaying loans. The JIT has huge liabilities towards the bank to which even the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium has been pledged.
