Judicious mixture of dances marks Kala Mahotsava

The department of cultural affairs of CT Group of Institution, in association with North-Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, (Ministry of Culture Government of India); All India Folk and Tribal Arts Parishath, under the scheme of National Presence Ministry of Culture; organised a national-level dance festival (Akhil Bharathiya Lok Kala Mahotsav 2019) at Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium of Shahpur campus.
Artists displayed performances and moments of cultural heritage through dance numbers.
Prominent personalities from different fields were present during the inauguration of the event.
Ten teams from various states, including New Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttrakhand, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Kerala, performed their cultural dance forms.
There were splendid performances by the teams of various states. Team of Rajasthan presented Bhawai; Himachal Pradesh- performed Sirmouri Natti and Lambra, Haryana presented Shiv Statuti; Punjab performed Bhangra, Jammu and Kashmir performed Kudd, Uttrakhand presented Jansari and Kerala performed Shingari.
As many as 1,000 students enjoyed the flavour of cultural dance performances. Manbir Singh, managing director, CT Group said such events boost the confidence of the students.
