When all other doctors in the district gave up on my treatment, these doctors treated me and they are the reason I am able to stand on my feet and walk today, she added.

She further added that “I am now focusing on all the positive things around me. The incident has been a lesson for me and it taught me the value of life.”

Expressing her happiness over being able to attend the classes again, despite going through a lot of trauma and mental instability, the 15-year-old says, she is not disheartened and has asked her parents herself to give her the permission to join the school and her tuitions again. She says, “I want to get back to my old routine and forget all that happened with me, as I want to start afresh.”

I am not in contact with a few old friends of mine who broke my trust and would prefer maintaining a distance from them. I am of the firm belief that within a month or two I will be fine completely and would also be able to run, she said, with happiness on her face.

Her father, Naveen Gupta, praising her daughter efforts and enthusiasm said, “Though we asked her to join the classes from July after summer vacation, but she insisted to join now. The school authorities have provided a caretaker for her.”

Speaking on the police investigation in the case, Gupta said, “We are disappointed that even after four months of the incident, the police has not made a single addition to the case. They had not investigated new facts nor had put those those responsible behinds bars.”
