He is known to have whipped many Bollywood and international celebrities into perfect shapes. He is also known as the man who had got Hrithik Roshan into a super hero ‘Krish’ costume in just 10 weeks.
Jalandhar Tribune spoke to international body trainer Kris Gethin who was in the city today. He finds Punjabi food spicy yet irresistible. He has also expressed a need for the educational institutes in the state to be more vigilant towards inculcating healthy eating habits among the students.
“The state is rightly known for its rich diversified preparation of food, but sadly, people here give more preference to taste than health. There is a dire need to change their eating patterns now,” said Gethin.
He said, to begin with, educational institutes in the state could play a very important role in building healthy eating habits among their children right at their early age.
When asked about his secret diet and fitness programme offered to Hrithik Roshan to put him back into shape for Krish-II, he said he introduced Hrithik to nutrition with taste and helped him fit back into his superhero costume.
“His physical transformation was remarkable, but I realised the flaws in his life were prevalent in the subcontinent cultures,” said Gethin.
He said he had Hrithik consume eight meals a day to drastically fire his metabolism in order to burn all the extra calories he was storing around his midsection.
“These meals were made up of egg whites, oatmeal, chicken, brown rice, fish, sweet potatoes, whey protein and Vitargo, and it was further supplemented with the Grenade fat burner before his morning cardio regime,” Gethin added.
Also, his revolutionary 12-week diet and exercise programme is one of the most revolutionary fitness programmes till date and has been put into practice by over two million people around the world.
When asked whether he is planning to open a centre in Punjab, he said he was planning to organise a few fitness training sessions in association with some of the educational institutes across the state by November this year.
When asked whether he tried the famous Punjabi food, including Dal Makhni and Amritsari Kulcha, the prompt reply was “I tried to cheat myself after many years but could not do so due to my strict and consistent eating pattern,” he said.
To have a perfect body and sound mind, one should follow a strict eating pattern and active lifestyle, he added.
