Advocate Ravish Sood was today honoured by District Bar Association today.

He was honoured for getting appointed as a member of Income Tax Tribunal (Appeals). This post is considered as the highest in the income tax department. Under this post, all appeals relating to tax cases or disputes are entertained, before moving to the High Court. Lawyers said, all over India, there were only 25 such tribunal dealing with the tax cases.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
