Man gets 3-yr in jail for assault

The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Ranjan Kumar Khullar has awarded an attack convict three-year jail term. Besides, he has been fined Rs 5,000.
The Bullowal police had received a complaint from Manjeet Singh, a resident of Dagana Khurd, that he along with wife Sheetal Kaur was present in his house when the convict, Ravinder Singh alias Lakkhi of the same village hurled stones at his house on December 24, 2014. He went out and found Lakkhi holding an iron rod, who attacked him. Manjeet has sustained severe injuries. He cried for help, following which one Chandra Mohan Saini came to his rescue, forcing Ravinder to flee.
I case Ravinder Singh alias Lakkhi fails to pay the fine of Rs 5,000, he will have to undergo an improsonment of three more months.
