Man jumps before train, dies

An unidentified man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train near the Chandan Nagar level crossing this evening.

As per the GRP, they got information at around 4 pm that a man had committed suicide. The police reached the spot and took the body into their custody. The police tried to get the body identified but could not get success. The body was then placed in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital here for 72 hours.

This is the second incident this month in which a person reportedly ended his life by jumping in front of the running train. A woman and her son committed suicide on July 4 by jumping in front of a train near the Ram Nagar level crossing.
