Ambala, June 14

Maharishi Markandeshwar University(MMU), Mullana, organised its annual convocation in the auditorium of the university, on Thursday.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati, president and spiritual head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh, was the chief guest.

While 93 students were conferred doctoral degrees, 591 students received master’s degrees and 1,568 received bachelor’s degrees in various fields like engineering, medical, computer applications, business management, nursing, physiotherapy, hotel management, law, pharmacy and dental.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati encouraged the students and told the importance of exchanging the thoughts with each other. He said that people should change their thinking to bring a change in society.

University Chancellor Dr Tarsem Kumar Garg gave away medals to the meritorious students. Vice-Chancellor Dr Victor Gambhir presented its annual report.
