Paper-folding competition
Jalandhar: The pre-primary wing of Innokids of Innocent Hearts School organised a paper folding competition for the children of KG I. The competition was organised in GMT, Loharan and Cantt, Jandiala Road. The kids made different shapes with colourful papers like butterfly, rat, tree, peacock, sparrow, fish and house. In charge InnoKIDS, Gurmeet (GMT), Alka (Loharan) and Neetika Kapoor (Cantt -Jandiala Road) encouraged the children to participate in such activities. tns
New Year celebrated
Jalandhar: Hostel students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) ushered in the New Year with a lot of festivity, zeal, zest and celebrations. They cut a cake, danced and sang on the occasion. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi, wished the students and staff a happy and prosperous New Year. She averred that it is customary at the KMV hostel to celebrate all festivals with warmth and vigour. tns
Student presents research paper
Jalandhar: Kritika Budhiraja, a student of the CT Institute of Higher Studies, Jalandhar, presented a research paper at an international conference on ‘Multi-disciplinary Innovations for Sustainability and Growth’, which was organised recently in association with MSME, Technology Development Centre, (PPDC), Agra, Government of India Organisation, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises at Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education, Delhi. She was the only speaker from Punjab and presented her paper on the topic ‘Role of Schemes and Programmes in Sustainable Development’. She evaluated the role of the schemes and programmes floated by the Government of India for social development. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group, congratulated Kritika on achiving the distindtion. tns
Blessings Day celebrated
Jalandhar: State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, celebrated an event, ‘Blessings Day’, on its premises . The day started with a ‘shabad’. A blessings day candle ceremony was conducted, in which students of Class XII handed over the light of wisdom and responsibility to juniors.The president of the school, Dr Narotam Singh and the vice-president Dr Gagandeep Kaur, were present. Students presented cultural items on the occasion. The juniors thanked the seniors for their guidance and affection. tns
