Jalandhar, January 18
A state-level camp for the selected students of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) Exam-2018 will be held at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, on January 20.
Ramesh Agnihotri, Chief Scientist and Principal (retd), Indo-Swiss Training Centre, CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Parveen Ramdas, national secretary, Vijnana Bharti, will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
Dr Vivek Talwar, general secretary, Punjab; Dr Rajesh Kumar, president, VPM, Amritsar; Dr Narinder Arora, office secretary, Punjab and Ajay Sharma, VVM, state coordinator, Punjab will also attend the camp.
Vigyan Parishad Panchnad (VPP), Punjab, a state unit of Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA), has been conducting the camp for the third time in Punjab.
VVM has been initiated by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation, under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
VVM is a national programme to popularise science among the students of Class VI to XI.
The camp will have an array of activities like written exam, video questioning and practical handout activities. — TNS
