Student council members take oath at investiture

Phagwara, August 7

An investiture ceremony was organised at Cambridge International School, Phagwara, for the academic session 2019-20 on the school campus here today.

The event was presided over by the managing director KS Bains. School Principal Jorawar Singh administered the oath to the member of school council, elected by Class VI to XII students.

Viyanshu Vermani was elected as the head boy of the school and Tanisha Dhiman as the head girl for the session 2019-20.

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the lamp, followed by “saraswati vandana”. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by the chief guest. The students’ council took a pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem.

The managing director and the principal congratulated the newly elected council. The function concluded with the reciting of National Anthem. —OC
