The 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Guru Nanak are seeing a major change from traditional celebrations not only in terms of pizza and burger langars and special T-shirts launched for the occasion, but organisers have also set up a selfie point at the celebration site.

Ludhiana-based advocate Harpreet Sandhu, who claims to have been working to promote ethos and preachings of Guru Nanak Dev, said he got a selfie stand erected today in front of the state government pandal here.

Terming it to be his creation, he said the colossal 13-ft insignia depicting 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev had been created after two months of dedicated devotion. He said the installation was part of the ongoing activities of the Sewa Sankalp Society.— TNS
