If you are planning to apply for Provident Fund withdrawal, now you are not required to approach and plead before the employer for attestation. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has done away with the role of employer while applying for the EPF withdrawal and the claimant would also not required to fill several pages to file a claim.
Announcing a big relief for the employees, the EPFO launched a simplified one page form that is suffice to withdraw the EPF and the permission of employer is also not required for the purpose. Once the form would land in the PF office, the employee would get the payment directly into his account in the span of just three days. The entire process will be applicable if the digital signature of employer is approved.
Announcing the new initiative, regional PF Commissioner Dheeraj Gupta said the EPFO has launched simplified brief forms for withdrawal. “These forms are one page forms requiring only five to six types of information to be submitted. These forms are applicable to those employees who have completed their Form-11 (New) details and the employer has seeded the Aadhaar and bank details as KYC and uploaded the same to the UAN portal duly attested through digital signature,” said Gupta.
Gupta informed, “As of now, regional EPFO cater to over 5.5 lakh members but only 97,546 members have activated their UAN through their registered mobile number and those who fulfill the above said condition of the KYC submission will no more be required to get their forms attested through the employers”.
PF officials said after leaving employment, employees were supposed to get their forms for withdrawals attested through employer as earlier it was only the employer who could identify the worker and his/her details.
PF Commissioner also made an appeal to the remaining members to activate their UAN so that they also can get the benefit of e-services by EPF. These new forms i.e. Form-19 (UAN), Form-10-C (UAN), and Form-31 (UAN) will benefit a large of employees who have provided their Aadhaar number and bank account number attested through Digital Signature.
A monthly ‘nidhi aap ke nikat’ was also organised on the EPFO premises in which Kartar Singh Rathore of Bharytia Majdoor Sangh, Ram Murti of CITU along with employers of Guru Nanak Public School, FCI, Babbar Karam Singh School, Gymkhana Club etc also provided solutions of their problems instantly.
