Officer ‘shares’ porn video on WhatsApp, claims innocence

Four days ago, after a video featuring doctor’s chat with a female patient had gone viral, another doctor has landed in a soup for uploading a porn video on the WhatApp group of the District Health Department.
The objectionable video was allegedly posted from a mobile phone of the District Vaccination Officer in the group named ‘Immunisation Hoshiarpur’.
After the incident, some members left the group and it was deleted later. The said group included doctors, lady health workers, staff nurses, ANMs and BEOs working in the district.
However, the said video was also downloaded by some of the members.
Members on condition of anonymity said the WhatsApp group named ‘Immunisation Hoshiarpur’ was created to exchange information regarding vaccination programmes being held in the district.
On June 18, when the Migratory Pulse Polio campaign was going on, around 2.34 pm, almost three minute pornographic video was sent in the group allegedly by District Vaccination Officer Dr Gurdeep Kapoor from his mobile phone.
Dr Gurdeep claimed that on June 18, he was engaged in the Migratory Pulse Polio campaign and his mobile phone was not with him.
He claimed that someone else had sent the video from his phone.
When asked if why he did not filed a complaint with the police, Dr Gurdeep said since the group was deleted, he did not report the matter to the police.
