Passport Mela held for applicants

Jalandhar, December 27

A Passport Mela was organised at Passport Sewa Kendra, Nakodar Chowk, Jalandhar, to address the problems of applicants.

The officials said that the mela has been organised as per the guidelines from the Ministry of External Affairs.

Hundreds of applicants participated in the Mela on a chilly winter day.

The officials said that as per the instruction from the Ministry of External Affairs, the passport office is aiming to issue one crore passports across the country by the end of the year.

The department has been trying to minimise the complications in the process of making passports for the people, the officials added.
