Police Commissioner Arpit Shukla has received a commendation disk by Punjab DGP Suresh Arora. Shukla was honoured for launching various community based programmes including project Ankhein that included installation of around 1,000 CCTV cameras in the city to curb snatching and other theft related incidents.
Shukla was also instrumental for bridging the huge gap between people and the police department by holding joint meetings of the police department with public. Also, he was applauded for uplifting the confidence of his department officials by announcing cash awards and commendation certificates.
He has recently taken over as the new police chief of Jalandhar few months back and has since then has managed to build the department’s image in public.
