PSEB releases helpline, e-mail IDs for queries

To resolve all queries and the end moment crisis during the board examinations, The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has recently released its new helpline numbers and the email IDs for the convenience of students.

“Every year during the board exams, many queries were received from the students and teachers regarding the documentation errors or the examination centres, but the board lacked instant grievances resolving system, therefore, new numbers and websites have been launched for the convenience of the Class X and XII students,” stated Manohar Kant Lohia, Chairman, PSEB.

A control room has been set up to resolve the complaints put forth by the students. It will be available 24×7 for dealing with the queries. Sukhwinder Kaur, the control room officer, said, by availing the helpline numbers, the students could report about any end time discrepancies like, change of examination centre, clashing of the examination date of two subjects on the same day, misprint of subjects, errors in date sheets, request for scribe, if any student met with accident and others.

The new numbers released by the board are 0172-5227120, 130 and 106, besides, the extension numbers were also printed in the date sheets. Hence, any student could use there numbers to register his/her complaints.

The control rooms have been set up in the offices of Chairman, vice -chairman and the secretary of the board.

Exams of Class X will begin from March 15 and Class XII board exams will be starting from March 1. The Class X examinations will be held in the morning shift, (10 am-1:15 pm). The Class XII exams will be held in the evening shift (2 pm-5:15 pm).

Kaur said, “For instant replies, the e-mail address of the controller of examinations are: controllerpseb @gmail.com and conductpseb @gmail.com, has also been announced, so that documents could be received by the control room in no time.”

She said one complaint was registered in the control room on Tuesday regarding the examination of two subjects falling on the same day. After getting a solution the students also appreciated the new system.
