Punjabi Bhasha Talmel Committee holds convention

The Punjabi Bhash Talmel Committee today held a convention on Punjabi language in which leaders from various political parties took part.
This convention was organised by Punjabi Sahet Academy Ludhiana, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Punjabi Bhasha Academy Jalandhar and Punjabi Jagriti Manch Jalandhar.
Kamal Sharma, president of the state BJP, during his speech said the BJP leadership in the past had not able to take good decisions pertaining to the mother tongue but in future also party would not repeat its mistake and would do everything to promote Punjabi language.
Convener of the committee Dr Anup Singh said it happened first time that to promote mother tongue, ruling parties and left parties shared the stage together.
On this occasion, former vice chancellor of Punjabi University Patiala, Joginder Singh, Punjabi Sahet Academy Ludhiana president Sukhdev Singh Sirsa, District SAD Urban president Gurcharan Singh Channi, CPI leader Hardev Singh Arshi, CPI(M) leader Charan Singh Virdi took part in the convention.
