The maiden edition of the Little Masters Hockey League was organised by National Hockey Club, Kapurthala, from September 11 to 13 at Guru Nanak Stadium in Kapurthala.

The final match played between the RCF, Kapurthala, and National Hockey Club, Kapurthala, was decided through penalty stroke where the RCF beat National Hockey Club 5-3.

The tournament was organised to commemorate the silver jubilee of the club that was established in 1990. Olympian Varinder Singh, gold medalist in 1975 hockey world cup at Malaysia, was the chief guest on the closing ceremony and also gave away the prizes. Gundeep Singh Kapur and Olympian Sanjeev Kumar was the guest of honor for the felicitation ceremony.
