The Rurka Kalan team and Jalandhar team today entered the second round by registering win in the 12th All-India Balwant Singh Kapur Schools Hockey Tournament presently being held in the city.

While informing this, Olympian Sanjeev Kumar and Ripudaman Kumar said in the first match, Sports School, Rurka Kalan, defeated Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Lucknow, 7-2. In the second match, Government Model School Sector 42, Chandigarh, defeated BRC, Danapur, 4-3. Also, in the third match, Government Model High School, Jalandhar, in a one-sided match defeated Indira Priyadarshini School, Bhopal, 4-0.
