Sarbat da Bhala Charitable Trust, led by philanthropist Dr SPS Oberoi, today sent the body of Shiv Kumar, a resident of Kokowal village, who had died in Dubai on March 15.
Shiv Kumar’s body was brought to his village today by the team of Sarbat da Bhala Charitable Trust and was cremated by the family.
SPS Oberoi told that the Embassy informed the Trust that an Indian had died there, and they had no arrangement to send the body to India.
The entire expenditure of sending the body was borne by the Trust. Shiv Kumar told his family that he had left the company and had no money so he was unable to come back. He was disturbed and fell ill, due to which he died there.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Her wife thanked the Sarbat a Bhala Trust for sending her husband’s body and providing fixed deposits of Rs one lakh each in the names of her daughters.
