Eklavya School organised a seminar on traffic rules. This seminar was organised under the direction and order of Commissioner of Police Joginder Singh, ADCP (Traffic) Parminder Singh Bhandal and ACP Dalbir Singh Bhuttar. Seminar was conducted by Shamsher Sandu and Rajinder Mehta. They apprised everyone about the traffic rules which should be followed while driving on the road.
Hindi Vachaya Pratiyogita
In order to develop speaking skills in national language, Hindi, State Public School, Jalandhar Cantonment, conducted a 'Hindi Vachaya Pratiyogita' for the students. The students were given the topics to speak and they showed their speaking skills beautifully. Ashish (nursery), Ankita (LKG), Gourish (UKG), Amrit (Class I), Janshan (Class II) stood first. Principal Savina Bahl encouraged students to learn vernacular languages, along with global language English. The winners were awarded with certificates by the principal.
Teachers from UK welcomed
Kamla Nehru Public School, Chak Hakim, Phagwara, welcomed two UK teachers Elena Escudero (Spanish teacher) and Mathew Wilfred Nichol (head of Geography Department) of Wellesley House, Kent, UK, in a traditional Indian style to the school for an exchange programme. A special assembly was organised in their honour. The students of Class VIII presented Scottish dance and music choir sang welcome song. These teachers had a school tour after the assembly. They visited all the classes and interacted with the students. The school principal, PK Dhillon, informed that the UK teachers are visiting the school under connecting classrooms Teacher Exchange Programme.—TNS
