Spelling bee competition
Jalandhar: To encourage the students to use standardised spelling, the department of English of CT Public School organised an ‘Inter-House Spelling Bee Competition’. After the semi-finals, 12 students were selected. One student from each class represented their house. The students were divided into four categories classwise. They went through five rounds namely spell the word, write the correct spelling, choose the correct spelling, unscramble the word and rapid fire. Tree plantation drive
Jalandhar: An activity ‘Tree plantation drive’, was organised at The Nobel School. Students planted saplings along with teachers and pledged to care for them. Chairman Prof CL Kochher, managing director, Kumar Shiv Kochhar and principal Meenakshi Mehta also participated in the drive. The chairman said trees were our best friends. He encouraged the students to follow this routine every month in their nearby areas. TNS
Medical check-up camp
Jalandhar: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organised a medical camp at Lambra village. Free dental, eye, BP, sugar check-up and cardiology services were provided to residents from villages. Around 150 patients were examined at the camp. Free van service was also provided to carry the patients to Innocent Hearts Multispeciality Hospital for detailed medical check-ups.TNS
