Stationery shop gutted in Mai Hira Gate area of city

A stationary shop in the Mai Hira gate area was gutted on Monday afternoon.
A huge amount of smoke was coming out of the shop which was situated in the congested narrow lanes in the area.
It took over six fire tenders to douse the flames. Though no one was injured in the incident, the entire stationery material kept inside the shop was destroyed in the incident.
Also, due to the location of the shop inside the narrow lanes, the Fire Brigade faced a huge difficulty in reaching the mishap site. While the department is yet to identify the exact reason of the fire, it seemed to have been caused due to a short-circuit.
