Showing an emotive gesture ahead of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, officials of the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate on Friday renewed their pledge to serve society, especially the girls and women, and to safeguard their interests.

Students of various schools and colleges on Friday celebrated ‘Raksha Bandhan’ with officers and jawans of the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate. The students also lauded the policemen for imparting their duty diligently to maintain law and order in the state even during festivals and holidays also. Students of Cambridge International School, SD College, Government Senior Secondary School, Innocent Girls School, HMV College, Senior Secondary School for Girls, and Parvati Jain School, also tied Rakhis to police officers. — TNS
