Two students of St Soldier College (co-ed) near REC got university positions in BPT fourth year results declared by GNDU Amritsar. Principal Veena Dada congratulated university toppers and said Akshita got seventh position in university by scoring 763 of 1,100 marks and Shweta got eighth position by scoring 764 of 1,100 marks. Overall result of the BPT third year and fourth year was 100 per cent. Chairman Anil Chopra announced scholarship for university toppers.

Apeejay College 

Harshita Jain and Ruhi Khambra, students of post graduate diploma in computer application (Semester II), Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, triumphed in the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, examination by securing third and eighth positions, respectively. Proud students were congratulated by Dr Sucharita, principal of the college, who urged them to continue working towards their goals.

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya 

Students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Surbhi Sharma and Navjot secured first and third position. Principal Dr Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj congratulated the students and their parents.

Ryan International School

Ryan International School, Jalandhar, participated in sur sangam inter-school group song and western solo singing competition organised by the IVY World School, Jalandhar. Students of various schools of Jalandhar participated and performed solo and group songs. Yuvraj Hans was the chief guest. Master Ritish Verma from Ryan Jalandhar won prize in western solo singing category. 

Workshop on environment 

SRT DAV Public School, Bilga, organised workshop on environment conservation. This workshop was organised by ECO Club of the school. Subhavna, resource person of this workshop, stressed upon the importance of waste management and recycling. Second resource person Sumedha trained a team of teachers to make students sensitive towards environmental conservation and spread this message in the society. In the end resource persons were honoured with token of remembrance by principal Ravi Sharma.—TNS
