Harpreet Singh, a student of Class XI at Government Senior Secondary School, in Sukhpur, Barnala, focused on the greatness of Japji Sahib through his calligraphy.

Students have also depicted the universal message of ‘Kirt karo, naam japo, wand chhako’ through their art.

Manohar Kant Kalohia, chairman of the PSEB, said the board organised extracurricular activities every year at the district, regional and state-level in government and recognised schools of Punjab. The competitions this year were dedicated to the ‘Parkash Purb’, he said.

School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla had, on November 3, announced that paintings and calligraphic creations of students would be displayed at a function in Sultanpur Lodhi.

The exhibition will conclude on November 12.
