Trials for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Games from Jan 30

The district sports department will hold the trials for the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Games-2016 from January 30 to February 3 in the district.

A meeting pertaining to this was held under the chairmanship of Rakesh Kaushal, District Sports Officer, today.

While the trials for volleyball, gymnastic and athletes will be held from January 30 and 31 at Sports College, the weightlifting trials will be held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on January 30. Similarly, Police DAV School will hold archery trials on January 30 and 31. DAV college will hold fencing, kho –kho and handball trials on February 1and 2 and trials for wrestling, table tennis, basketball and badminton from January 30 to February 2 at Hansraj Stadium. The trails for boxing will be held at Dakoha on January 30 and 31. The trials for judo will be held at Senior Secondary School, Laadowaali road, on February 2. Many other games, including hockey and tug of war, will also be held simultaneously at various venues in the city.
