Two injured in accidents

Two persons were injured in two accidents in Adampur and Nakodar today.
A car driver on the Adampur-Hoshiarpur highway was seriously injured when his car rammed into a truck while he was trying to overtake a bus. The injured was identified as Gurdial Singh of Kahri village in Hoshiarpur district.
As per the police, Gurdial Singh, a Punjab Police personnel, was going to Hoshiarpur from Jalandhar when he lost control over his car while overtaking the bus. The car rammed into the rear side of the truck.
The car was badly damaged in the accident. The traffic was completely disrupted after the mishap, which resumed after the police was helped by commuters. The police took both vehicles into their custody and have started investigating the matter.
In another accident, a tractor driver was injured when his tractor-trolley rammed into a tree at Lambra village. The driver was delivering the PSPCL goods when the accident occurred. The injured was admitted to a private hospital.
