As per the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission, Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed in the country. Paying heed to the Commission’s guidelines, Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed by the BSF headquarters in Jalandhar also.
Anil Paliwal, Inspector General, BSF Punjab Frontier, administered oath to the officers, subordinate officers and jawans at Frontier Headquarter, Jalandhar, with the motive to fight the menace of corruption. “The main aim of observing this week is to bring awareness about the malaise of corruption by organising various programmes,” said the IG. During this awareness week, BSF headquarter would conduct several events at its all establishments and sectors in the Punjab by display of banners, posters, slogans at prime locations, debate competition, lectures, essay competitions on role and contribution of vigilance in promoting good governance and declamation contests. —TNS
