Violence on Dalits in Gujarat supported by RSS, BJP: CPM

The CPM (Punjab) today condemned the oppression of Dalit community in Una, Gujarat, allegedly by radical Hindu groups in the name of ‘gau raksha’.

Mangat Ram Pasla, secretary, CPM (Punjab), said the alleged inhuman cruelty on Dalit youth in Gujarat exhibited human slavery. He said it was one of toughest tasks to remove the skin of dead animals. He added that the alleged inhuman treatment to these people could not be executed without the support of the RSS and the BJP-led Central Government.

Pasla said this shameful act that happened in Gujarat depicted the actual ‘Gujarat Model’ of PM Narendra Modi which he wanted to execute across the state. He called upon the struggling groups and the oppressed classes to get united to fight against this cruelty.
