Jalandhar, October 10
The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar (MCJ) today launched a website for the general public to pay their water and sewerage charges.
The site, wspayment. mcjjalandhar. org, was launched by Mayor Sunil Jyoti. He said people had been facing a lot of harassment by standing in long queues to pay their water and sewerage charges. “With the launch of the website, they can pay their bills from their homes or their nearest Suwidha or Sewa Kendra. He said the city residents can also visit mcjalandhar.in to find a link to the new website.
Giving more respite to the city residents, the users will not have to pay any transaction charges and they can even check the billing and payment history as well on the website.
The Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar is also contemplating a short messaging service (SMS) for its consumers which will have the details of pending bills.
