Srinagar, June 18

Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, called on Governor NN Vohra here today.

They discussed several important projects and certain areas which needed attention for strengthening research work in institutions of higher learning in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Institute of Kashmir Studies (IKS) in the University of Kashmir had already established a strong link with the JMI, under which students of the IKS studied for a semester at the JMI.
