200 stalls welcome visitors at khadi expo

Srinagar, September 18

A monthlong exhibition organised by the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) began at Kashmir Haat here on Tuesday.

Around 200 stalls of the khadi and village industry units have been set up at the exhibition that features sale of khadi and muslin clothes, readymade garments, tasar and matka silk suits, pure silken suits, Lucknowi chicken arts, phulkari dresses, pashmina shawls, woollen products and khadi items.

“Through the exhibition-cum-sale, we are aiming to promote the khadi and village industries products among the public. Only genuine quality products are available at the stalls,” said secretary and chief executive officer, KVIB, Rashid A Qadri. He said such events provided an excellent opportunity to the unemployed youth.
