More than 75,000 candidates on Sunday appeared in the written test for the post of naib tehsildar of the J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) at the examination centres established in both Kashmir and Jammu.
The written test was conducted for 155 posts of naib tehsildars for which 1.05 lakh candidates had applied. Around 75 per cent candidates appeared in the test.
“The written test was conducted successfully. Now, our staff is on the job to bring the OMR sheets to Jammu and Srinagar offices. The further process will start from Monday onwards,” Simrandeep Singh, chairman, JKSSB, told The Tribune.
He said the answer key was expected to be released on Monday and after that, the candidates could file their objections regarding the answers with the board.
“We are expected to complete the process of addressing their concerns and preparing the result within 1.5-2 months,” Singh said.
The JKSSB will be selecting 1:5 candidates for viva voce and the written test to know working knowledge of Urdu, which is mandatory for the naib tehsildar posts.
