To provide job opportunities to educated youth, the Army collaborated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for job interviews under project ‘Udaan’ on June 7 and 8.
The Army said many youth gathered to avail the opportunity at Awantipora, Haiderbeig and Patahari.
An Army spokesman said
the selected candidates would undergo training in Kolkata and then be provided employment in various sectors ranging from IT, software technology, marketing etc through TCS.
“During the training period, the selected candidates will be provided with stipend of Rs 200 per day for 14 weeks in Kolkata along with free boarding, lodging and air fares. The candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month for the first year on the successful selection as TCS employee,” he said.
