Panic gripped the district after first braid-cutting incident was reported at Bhaderwah in Doda district on Wednesday.
The braid of housewife Murti Devi (30), wife of Ranjeet Singh, was cut mysteriously while she was engaged in household work near her residence at Diggi village of Bhalda in Bhaderwah sub-division on Wednesday.
“We rushed to the spot after locals informed us about the incident and spoke to the victim and her family members but nobody saw anything. We are investigating the matter,” Station House Officer, Bhaderwah, Jatinder Sambyal said.
In the Jammu region, 32 braid-cutting cases have been reported recently while the police and experts remain clueless about them.
