CBSE Class X: JK Public School student Janavi shines with 99%

Students of the Jammu region excelled in the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) Class X examination, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

As many as 10,000 students from J&K appearedin the annual Class X CBSE examination.

Janavi Choudhary of JK Public School, Kunjwani, topped the school by scored 99 per cent followed by Agrim Pangotra (98.4 per cent) and Aryman Kohli (98 per cent).

The school claimed that it had attained the best overall result in the state. Of the total 184 students, 16 scored above 95 per cent marks, 27 scored between 90-95 per cent and 112 scored 75 per cent and above. Applauding the teachers, principal SK Singh said the outstanding performance was the result of the collaborative efforts put in by students, the faculty and parents.

From Jodhamal School, Vanamalin Gupta topped with 97.4 per cent followed by Osmi Gupta (97.2 per cent) and Medhavi Bhatti and Archita Gautam (96.8 per cent). Of the total 162 students, 62 students scored above 90 per cent.

From Army Public School, Akhnoor, Ankit Kumar emerged as the topper with 94.4 per cent followed by Mitali Bhalla with 92 per cent. Of the total 133 students, including 68 girls and 65 boys, six students secured above 90 per cent.

Meanwhile, Kajal Digra from MV International School topped the Samba district by securing 93.2 per cent. Atish Slathia with 90.8 per cent secured the second position in the school.
