Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam chaired a high-level meeting at the civil secretariat here on Monday to finalise the model for state tableau to be displayed at the upcoming Republic Day parade in the national capital.

Senior officials of the J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) presented a proposed model for the tableau designed by renowned Kashmiri artist Vir Munshi.

Threadbare discussions were held on various contours of the proposed design and the Chief Secretary suggested some changes to be made to highlight the state’s unique composite culture.

Other participants at the meeting also put forth their suggestions on how to further improve the model.
