Jammu, November 10
Taking cognisance of the problems flagged by the candidates concerned due to the non-availability of a NEET (PG) examination centre at Srinagar, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has pleaded with the Centre for the establishment of the same.
In her communication to Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda, the Chief Minister has drawn his attention towards the fact that around 2,000 students from Kashmir province are taking the said examination being conducted by the National Board of Examination on January 7, 2018, and the non-availability of an examination centre at Srinagar would put the medical graduates to a lot of inconvenience.
Mehbooba has requested the Union Health Minister for his intervention in the matter to establish an examination centre at Srinagar for the said examination.
Pertinently, requests from various groups of students had come to the Chief Minister for taking up the issue with the Centre. — TNS
