Jammu, June 5
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) held a plantation drive on World Environment Day.
During the programme, saplings were distributed to children by the CRPF with an appeal to plant more trees and save environment. The chief guest, Nitu, DIG CRPF Jammu range, lauded the efforts of the Director Airport, Jammu, for the participation in the event.
Emphasising the importance of trees, she described their role in maintaining environmental balance. The CRPF DIG appealed to people to keep organising such programmes.
Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Director, Airport, Jammu, appreciated the efforts of the CRPF in organising the programme. Ashish Kumar Jha, Commandantm 166th Battalion, CRPF, appealed to all officers, personnel and others to implement the programme, ‘Plant trees, save trees’ for the protection of environment.
