He added that more than 10,000 students had already registered for the first phase, whereas the second phase would start from January to April and final phase would be held from May to July 2020. When asked about the difficulties being faced by students from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to apply for registration for online entrance test due to snapping of Internet services since August 5, 2019, CU Vice-Chancellor said the registration of J&K students for Phase-I would continue after December 20, 2019.

“During the tenure of 7 years of CU, the number of students studying from J&K has increased by 60 per cent and currently about 1,762 students from different parts of the UT are pursuing various professional courses at the varsity campus”, Dr Bawa said. The Vice-Chancellor added that the CU had become the youngest university in India to be ranked A+Grade university by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
