DGP lauds hospital for introducing coblation

Director General of Police SP Vaid today inaugurated a one-day workshop on coblation technology at the Police Hospital here. The continuous medical examination-cum-live surgical workshop was organised by the department of ENT, head and neck surgery, Police Hospital.
Inaugurating the workshop, Vaid said such events and workshops brought excellence in professionalism.
“Health care for the police personnel is our priority as they are doing their job in odd situations. The police hospitals at Srinagar and Jammu have been provided better infrastructure to enhance their services. We will continue to strengthen these hospitals by providing better equipment and building infrastructure,” said the DGP.
He complimented Dr Bilal Raja, Medical Superintendent, and other staff of the hospital for introducing coblation in the ENT technology. He said the new technology had brought tremendous improvement in the field of medical science.
Earlier, Raja, welcoming the DGP and other guests, said the workshop was an academic event, which would help the professionals of the hospital gain expertise and knowledge in coblation.
